History
Royal Salute was created in 1953 when the very first Royal Salute 21 Year Old was launched in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. It was named after the traditional 21 gun salute reserved solely for monarchs and senior dignitaries.
The three Royal Salute whiskies available on the French market are Royal Salute 21 Year Old (created in 1953), Royal Salute 38 Year Old “Stone of Destiny” (created in 2005) and Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute (created 2010).
For the past 60 years, every whisky used in the Royal Salute range has remained true to the Chivas Brothers’ tradition of producing only the rarest and most prestigious spirits.
Production
Every edition is a uniquely different blend created by Master Blender Colin Scott, who closely supervises each cask and occasionally selects one he deems to have reached the ideal age. This rich Chivas tradition and know-how makes Royal Salute a unique blend of the highest quality and value.
